    We are currently looking for an Assembler to be located in our Trevose, PA facility.

    Responsibilities

    SUMMARY

    Assembles GMP products partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following assembly instructions or blueprints.

     

    Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.

     

    Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.

     

    May disassemble products sent back to GMP for repair to replace or salvage parts.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Four years post High School training or equivalent; plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, totaling five years or more.   Three to Five Years' GMP actual on-the-job machining and/or assembly experience

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

     

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
