    ​The Quality Engineer position is responsible for working directly with Quality Manager. This position will analyze manufacturing processes for improvement using various methods of testing and inspection.


    • Develops, applies and maintains quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
    • Serves as the primary quality assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement (Root Cause Analysis).
    • Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
    • Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
    • Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
    • Assists in process validation when changes occur.
    • Reviews change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
    • Develops, executes and analyzes quality-reporting measures.
    • Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
    • Reviews suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
    • Participates in internal quality audits.
    • Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
    • Compiles, writes and delivers training material on quality standards and activities.
    • Understands and complies with the ISO standard requirements.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.


    ​Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
    A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a Manufacturing environment.
    Training in general safety and quality system awareness.
    American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
    Proficient in using measuring instruments (e.g. calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and CMM's).
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.



    Physical Demands

    Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
