    Responsibilities include the operation of the Secondary Operation Work Cells and support of the automated forging hammers and Impacter production lines. Secondary operations include but are not limited to: second forging, hot punching operation, hot forming, and flash grinding. Production Worker – Secondary Operations will assist die shop with change over of tooling and be supported by material handlers for the movement of parts. Hammer and Impacter support duties include but are not limited to: cleaning, material handling and trimming.



    Including but not limited to, Banning hammer, induction heater, mechanical press, second operation tooling, hot punch tooling, forming machine(s), backstand grinder, die heater, gas fired furnace, automated forging cells, Impacter, overhead crane, fork lift, tongs, hand tools, pneumatic key driver, sledge hammers, drift pins, dowel pins pry bars wedges, shims.



    Forged parts produced by Impacters and automated forging hammers.



    • Responsible for operation of all second operation equipment including but not limited to the Banning hammer, Minster press, etc.
    • Responsible for visual quality of all second operation parts.
    • Meet and maintain productivity standards.
    • Work with die shop personnel to help set-up secondary operation cells within changeover time standards.
    • Visually inspect machine before start-up.
    • Keep equipment/work area in a clean orderly condition and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Operate forklift and crane as required.
    • Make and exercise decisions as required in the performance of the job.
    • Assist in training back-up personnel.
    • Performs other duties as required by supervision.



    • Prior manufacturing work experience.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures in English.
    • Ability to operate a crane and forklift.
