As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for prepping and operating the manual and automated sewing machines and sergers to assemble products. Additional responsibilities will include:
Qualified candidates will have two (2) years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of the different types of materials to be cut and their characteristics and flaws for quality acceptability. Candidates will have a strong attention to detail and the capacity to shift priorities. Basic Math, reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills are a must.
Additionally, qualified candidates will be required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
