    We are currently looking for an Engineering Services Manager to be located in our Lincolnshire, IL Facility.

    Responsibilities

    The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for the CAD and PLM systems within the Klein Tools Engineering Department. The manager is responsible for managing the day-to‐day operations and implementing significant improvements to the systems including changing workflows and data structures.

     

    Specific Responsibilities will include:

    1. Manage Solidworks 3D CAD System and Agile Product Lifecycle Management PLM﴿ systems.
    2. Develop and communicate standards to control digital assets i.e. product documentation, quality procedures, work instructions, CAD files, etc.﴿ from various sources, defining ownership and access controls, release/dissemination, and final disposition.
    3. Owner of the engineering change process, works to improve the process and reduce cycle time.
    4. Act as project leader on process improvements to the PLM and CAD systems. Collaborate with Information Technology, cross functional teams, and data creators to develop process improvements, manage project deadlines, and ensure process documents are created or updated.
    5. Train users on how to use Agile Product Lifecyle Management Oracle﴿ software.
    6. Retrieve data and create custom reports using Simple Query Language SQL﴿.
    7. Resolve user and system issues in a timely fashion.
    8. Work with IT and outside consultants to troubleshoot system issues and coordinate software upgrades
    9. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, other technical degree, or equivalent and a minimum five 5﴿ years of experience with engineering Product Life Management implementation, process management, and change management in a manufacturing environment.

     

    Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management PLM﴿ including application design and configuration is required.  Must have experience linking PLM to MRP systems.

     

    Must have experience managing distributed 3D CAD development environments, SolidWorks CAD environment experience is preferred. Knowledge of conflict minerals, Underwriters Laboratories UL﴿, Safety Data Sheet SDS﴿, and Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals REACH﴿ or Restriction of Hazardous Substances RoHS﴿ requirements are a plus.

     

    Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Adobe Professional. Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

    Capable of leading cross functional teams to implement projects. Ability to troubleshoot system issues, master software tools, and adapt to changing priorities while keeping up with published deadlines.
