    We are currently looking for an Order Entry Operator to be located in our Lincolnshire, IL Facility.


    Under general supervision perform all order verification, editing and entry of incoming faxed and emailed orders.  Is responsible for ensuring the order process flow is followed as instructed so as to meet the daily Departmental goal of Zero-Carry-Over.


    Specific Responsibilities will include:

    1. Ensure the order work flow expectation is being met. Pick up orders from fax machine during required time frame as instructed and any issues with the machine is identified and addressed timely.  Immediately advise supervisor of any issues adversely affecting the timely order entry process, as needed.
    2. Retrieve and receive customer orders from fax or mail in a timely manner. Review orders for completeness, sort and time stamp. Retrieve other documents, including expedites, pricing requests, product availability, etc.  Distribute to appropriate CS personnel for processing.
    3. Review orders to ensure correct account and ship-to are assigned. Highlight shipping method, collect account, quote, ship-to PO, special markings, promo references, drop-ship address and any other special requests.  Separate premium freight orders so as to expedite the entry process and meet the 2pm requirement.
    4. Timely enter orders with appropriate information so the order entered represents what the customer requested. Ensure all orders received by 3pm of a business day are processed into the system that same business day.
    5. Ensure the required actions are taken for specific items and processes as currently instructed. Keep well informed on new updates and follow pop-up text, emails and written / verbal direction. Pay attention to detail so as to recognize process changes and take required action as instructed.  Review CMS errors to ensure Standard of Performance requirements are met and errors are limited or eliminated from repeating.
    6. Review, retain and stay well-informed on current marketing, regional and customer-specific promos so as to ensure all appropriate promo codes and promotion attributes are applied as required for appropriate order processing.
    7. Cross train all new personnel in Customer Service, Sales, or any other department, as needed.
    8. Perform all other duties as assigned.


    Qualified candidates will possess a High School diploma. Minimum of two years of office experience. Data entry experience preferred.


    Telephone and e-mail etiquette skills.


    Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively both verbal & written.


    Ability to handle stress.


    Perform other duties as assigned.
