    We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Architect to be located in our Lincolnshire, IL Facility.


    The Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for developing and maintain an enterprise-wide Business Intelligence roadmap within the Klein Tools IT organization. This resource will map out data architecture needs and act as a liaison to the organization, guiding projects and internal teams, ensuring their data needs are met with relevant Business Intelligence tools.

    Specific Responsibilities will include:

    1. Develop and maintain an Enterprise-wide Business Intelligence roadmap.
    2. Define the overall Business Intelligence data architecture, including ETL processes, and data marts.
    3. Develops and manages BI standards and best practices, provides BI technical guidance and business liaison regarding data needs.
    4. Documents the enterprise-wide Business Intelligence solutions, providing flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, etc.
    5. Develop Data Warehouse cubes and reporting solutions as defined by the business need.
    6. Identifies needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.
    7. Facilitate and act as subject matter expert for all Data Visualization needs for the organization.
    8. Provides technology leadership and coaching to BI Developer(s), implementing standards and best practices.
    9. Monitors data loads to and from the data warehouse and corrects issues that may arise in a timely manner.
    10. Responsible for planning and executing BI Application system upgrades and for coordinating the data warehouses during upgrades of other IT systems.
    11. Analyzes system and technical issues to implement technologies that align with BI roadmap.
    12. Configures and maintains security systems for user access and managing Cognos licenses.
    13. Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the architecture, design and building of enterprise data warehouses.


    Excellent understanding of data modeling, SQL and ETL. Experience in multiple database platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.  Experience with Cognos is strongly preferred.


    Strong relationship development and communications (verbal & written skills).


    Experience working with end users to gather requirements and build technical solutions from concept to implementation.


    Ability to facilitate meetings and delegate responsibilities.
