    The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for all aspects of the inspection process of vendor, inter‐company, and returned goods, as well as all receiving functions.



    1. Inspect new or returned product to determine if product is acceptable for stock by interpreting drawings, raw data and inspection criteria that is compiled for the product.
    2. Perform inspection sampling final appraisal by either 100% inspection or batch sample inspection by understanding and following the American National Standard ﴾ANSI/ASQC ﴿Z1.4‐1993 sampling procedures and tables for inspection attributes; double sampling plans for normal inspection, with an AQL of 2.5% for minor characteristics, or incidental characteristics.
    3. Develop and maintain inspection files to insure that inspection criteria sheets are kept up to date and accurate on any changes or problems with any specific product. Rejection or warning reports are accurately filled out and filed correctly.
    4. Scan and check bar codes from vendors and internal plants to insure that the bar codes are scannable and accurate.
    5. Insure that all product received from outside vendors and internal plants meet pallet configuration requirementsfor height, width, and pallet size.
    6. Keep work area clean at all times and put away all inspection devices or equipment in the appropriate areas at the end of each shift. No product is left on tables or counters.
    7. Participate in and complete ongoing quality control training at the corporate level. Attend and complete annual continuing education in quality control or related coursework leading to a certification in quality or related field.
    8. Operate all designated equipment such as inspection measuring devices such as dial caliper, tape measures, push/pull force gauge, Judge II lighting booth, computer terminals, class I, II and IV forklifts, dock locks, dock plates, shrink wrap machine, tape dispenser, calculator, and any other equipment necessary to perform the job.
    9. Unload and load freight. Read delivery receipts and packing lists to verify quantities and part numbers received on shipments. Verify packaging on product is not damaged or that received product is not damaged.
    10. Communicate problems or ideas with supervisors or other appropriate personnel.
    11. Fill in as needed in the Packaging Department.
    12. Perform all other duties as assigned.



    • High school diploma and no work experience required. Forklift Operator experience preferred. Bilingual preferred.
    • Demonstrate basic math skills.
    • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office ﴾Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word﴿ and quality control software.
    • Demonstrate excellent time‐management and multi‐tasking skills in a fast‐paced environment.
    • Demonstrate comprehension of written ﴾nglish﴿sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
    • Ability to use and test measuring equipment; including ﴾ut not limited to﴿micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, Rockwell hardness tester, optical comparator and templates, torque testing machine, gauge pins and blocks, and metallurgical equipment such as wet saws, grinders, and sample mounting equipment.
    • Ability to learn, problem‐solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
    • Ability to communicate with team members through verbal and written form.
