    ​The Process Engineer is responsible for leading the injection molding process through support of process technicians, optimization of molding process, continuous improvement initiatives, liaising with outside vendors and internal resources. This position will provide manufacturing support. This position is responsible for participating in development of new injection molding tools and processes that are received by by the plant. This position receives hand-off from the launch TE and transfers teams and owns production processes.

    • ​Responsible for injection molding related continuous improvement (e.g. cycle time, scarp, quality, material cost reduction, etc.) and process troubleshooting. 
    • Develops and documents processes and equipment layout for new/existing jobs/ Provides process parameters in hard copy (sheet) and on disk for production. 
    • Leads and/or supports corrective action projects.  
    • Recommends, implements, and trains users of production equipment (robots, fixtures, etc.).  
    • Mentors and lead process technicians.  
    • Trail new tooling/equipment/material and make modifications as needed to meet quality and production goals. 
    • Takes hand-off of tools/processes from launch team and ensure smooth execution in operations. 
    • Provides support on new product lunch tooling, providing the manufacturing input for development of new process and improvements to existing processes and tooling. 
    • Work with tool room for all tool repairs and maintenance. 
    • Maintains documentation closely following necessary timeliness on specific projects.  
    • Perform other duties as assigned.



    Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related work experience. Bachelors Degree in Plastics Engineering or Mechanical engineering and five (5) years experience in plastics injection molding processing experience in multi-cavities molding preferred.

    Experience working hands on in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.


    Physical Demand Requirements:

    ​Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
