    As a Quality Control Team Member, you are responsible to perform moderately complex dimensional inspection of standard parts, units, or materials to ensure conformance with specifications utilizing various measuring and testing equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.  You will also perform audits to assure established standards of quality are maintained.  Additional responsibilities will include:

    • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, and wearing required PPE. 
    • Analyze and interpret manuals, blueprints, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection/testing procedures, and measuring instruments required to inspect parts against established Klein quality standards.  
    • Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh parts, units, or materials for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications utilizing testing and measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, Rockwell hardness tester, optical comparator and templates, and torque testing machine.  
    • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.  Report rejected parts or parts on hold to shift supervisor and follow through until defects are corrected.  
    • Closely document all work, including marking parts as rejected, accepted or on hold, fill out non-conforming reports, and enter test collection data in to quality control software (ETQ).  
    • Report accurate count of production parts, scrap, and labor hours by completing required paperwork and/or electronic entry.  
    • Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards.  
    • Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operations.  
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.


    Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or GED and two (2) or more years related work experience; Demonstrate basic math skills; Demonstrate Comprehension of written (English) sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and quality control software; Ability to use and test measuring equipment; including (but not limited to) micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, Rockwell hardness tester, optical comparator and templates, torque testing machine, gauge pins and blocks, and metallurgical equipment such as wet saws, grinders, and sample mounting equipment; Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents; Ability to communicate with team members through verbal and written form; Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.


    Physical Demand Requirements:
