    Currently located in Cedar Rapids, IA our Distribution Center serves the entire United States. Our new state-of-the-art distribution center is currently being built in Mansfield, TX.

     

    We are looking for candidates who are willing to travel and work in Cedar Rapids, IA on a temporary duty assignment until the Distribution Center opens in Mansfield, TX in approximately 12 months.  Ideal candidates would then work in Mansfield, TX once the start-up of the facility begins.

     

    Housing and miscellaneous expenses would be covered while working in Cedar Rapids, IA.

    Responsibilities

    As a picker, you will assist the supervisor in managing, creating and promoting a team work environment within the picking team.  You will also be responsible for managing pick ticket orders from the warehouse and physically pulling inventory from the shelves to ensure accurate delivery of warehouse products in their zone. 

     

    Duties

    • Assist the supervisor in managing, creating, and promoting a team work environment within the picking team.
    • Train new hires, review efficiency rates, and communicate any issues within the picking zone.
    • Pick the day's orders to be filled as accurately and completely as possible using established guidelines.
    • May operate warehouse machinery in accordance with established procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.
    • Pull warehouse items from the shelves based on shipping level in assigned zones.
    • Operate handling equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed.
    • Monitor stock control systems and process specific orders.
    • Ensure warehouse goals are met.
    • Maintain a high level of safety standards.
    • Operate scanners so that the proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately.
    • Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

     

    Ideal candidates will be willing to travel and work at our Cedar Rapids, IA facility until our new facility in Mansfield opens in approximately 12 months.  In addition, ideal candidates will have their High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

     

    Competencies:

    • Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team environment. 
    • Demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
    • Ability to work independently and with others.
    • Familiarity with the use of Warehouse Management System and forklift certified.
    • Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a pre-employment physical.
